Bryan & Terrill Law is a legal firm based in Oklahoma and Colorado. We provide legal services throughout Oklahoma, at both the district and appellate levels. Our firm is focused on litigating in areas like civil rights, personal injury, wrongful death, nursing home neglect and traumatic or catastrophic injuries.
Making History
Bryan & Terrill Law is the first ever law firm in Oklahoma history to successfully argue for civil rights under the Oklahoma constitution. Our very own J. Spencer Bryan and Steven J. Terrill had active roles in the decision of Bosh v. Cherokee County Governmental Building Authority, 305 P .3d 994 in 2013. This milestone stands testament to our commitment of delivering quality services, but that’s not all we have accomplished through our years of service.
The firms members have also been an integral part of the Justice for Greenwood movement, which includes representing survivors of the Tulsa Race Massacre.
The firm has proudly partnered with other firms to address “debtor prison” scenarios in Oklahoma. The Bryan & Terrill Firm is involved and committed to help people who the system has discarded or ignored. The failure to adequately represent and insure individuals who have resolved their criminal convictions can pay their costs and fees is vital to allowing those individuals move on and become productive members of society. When the systems forces unreasonable costs and fees and fails to insure individuals can make realistic payments, the result is those individuals get warrants for nonpayment and end up in jail. This results in lost employment, lost opportunities, devastating consequences for their families, and ultimately becomes a vicious cycle that repeats. Ensuring that individuals have appropriate Rule 8 hearings that the costs and fees are tailored to what a reasonable person can afford helps the individuals and removes the burden of unnecessary incarceration.

J. Spencer Bryan, a partner at our firm, represents clients in Oklahoma and Colorado state and federal courts, the Oklahoma Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He began practicing civil rights litigation fresh out of the University of Oklahoma, representing clients in the area of federal constitutional rights such as police misconduct, excessive force, in-custody deaths, denial of adequate medical care, employment discrimination and freedom of speech and association.
Steven J. Terrill, another partner at Bryan & Terrill Law, is a seasoned litigator with an illustrious career practicing in areas like products liability, insurance, probate, general negligence, Complex Business Litigation, professional malpractice and many more.
